The DWSC has also exploited its strong interest in environmental stewardship since its conception in 1958.  The Club was responsible for the initial cleanup of old cars and various junk items left behind from the days of an old dirt race track near what is now part of Miller Riverview Park and the Dubuque Greyhound Park.   Trees and grass areas were then re-established by the Club.  The Club has since continued general maintenance and clean up for the entire Club area in an effort to keep Club facilities established and preserve the inherent beauty of the Mighty Mississippi River Area.
The DWSC continues to promote water sports and all related safety criteria.  Memberships are always welcome.  Maybe you are interested in a tow boat sport like slalom skiing or  paddle sports like dragon boating and canoeing, all in a fun, family-like club environment.  If so, a membership to the DWSC may be for you.
